Sir/Madam,
I take this opportunity to tell you importance of attending classes by your child to produce commandable results in the forthcoming CBSE 2009. We are conducting classes till 15th February 2009 with 5 hour academic time table so that we can revise portions meaningfully. Our teachers have come forward to take classes during winter break also. Hence you are requested to ensure that your child is regular to the school and progressing in all subjects.
Your whole hearted cooperation is highly solicited in this regard.

1. Coverage of portions done as per split up.
2. Monthly Tests conducted by covering all portions.
3. Arranged remedial classes regularly.
4. Examined individual student's performance to observe progress.
5. Invited parents and discussed about maintaining maximum attendance of children.
6. Attended various types of Questions in order to train children in attending all types of Questions.

A. Availability of regular staff and their commitment to their profession

February 2009 :
1. Monthly Review to discuss about progress of children.
2. Conducting classes to the slow learners upto 15 th February 2009.
3. Conducting combined sessions to give last minutes tips to the children and issuing admit cards.

1) Class X = 100% 2) Class XII = 100%
5. Analysis of shortcomings of last year/remedial measures:
1. Absenteeism : Parents are requested to send their children regularly.
2. Burden of Private tuitions and coaching centres: Parents and children were educated to
send their wards to getting clearance of concept of children in each subject on priority.
3. Absence of parents of slow learners in PTA meetings: Parents were contacted over phone
and conducted special sessions with them to extend their attention.
6. Specific steps taken so far :
1. Conducted subject committee meetings for 10 th and 12 th teachers to know about
specific problems of teachers and children.
2. Parents of slow learners were called and guided them so as to confirm their attention
towards studies of their children.
3. Advisory Notes were issued to the subject teachers where improvement in results is needed.
Minutes -:
The Vidyalaya Management Committee met on 25/09/08.The meeting started with the Principal welcoming the Chairman along with other members of the VMC and requesting the Chairman VMC to preside over the meeting. Agenda points discussed at length are as follows:-
1. Chairman and committee members have appreciated results produced by vidyalaya in CBSE 2008. Class X pass% is 98.29.
One girl student of Class 10 has secured 98% (490/500) and stood first in Bhubaneswar Region and secured Third position at KVS National level.
Pass% of Class XII Science is 98 and Class XII Humanities is 66.6. One girl student of Class XII Humanities has secured 100 out of 100 in Geography.
Results of Humanities has come down as 4 children failed in Economics. Principal appraised Hon'ble Chairman about poor performance of PGT Economics continuously from the last 4 years.
Hon'ble members expressed their opinion on recommending transfer of PGT Economics if vidyalaya is not facing any problem in getting substitute.
Topper of the Region Ms.Kuheli Jati (Class X) has been honoured by the Hon'ble Chairman with cash prize awarded by KVS. Honble Chairman desired further improvement of results in CBSE 2009 with the best possible efforts of vidyalaya.
1) Members are of the opinion that spoken English of children is not very impressive when it is compared with other convent schools. Principal appraised Hon'ble Committee about the efforts being taken at vidyalaya level and ensured best efforts to promote Spoken english among children.
2) Hon'ble Chairman desired utilization of all infrastructure available to the maximum extent to ensure over all development of children.
3) Before concluding VMC Meeting Hon'ble Chairman and members paid visit to various departments and Hon'ble Collector interacted with the children of Class I and II and enquired about their studies. Hon'ble Chairman instructed Principal to admit children from SC and ST community to fill all seats available for them.
Meeting was ended with vote of thanks by Principal.
